Samantha Clark

Samantha Clark joined our team in August 2017. She was born and raised in a small town outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. She had previously moved with her fiancé to Arizona, where she then discovered her dream to work with animals. Samantha started as a receptionist and later became a vet assistant. She now lives here in Lincoln with her fiancé and two Dobermans, Roxy and Lyla.

Erica Cory

Erica Cory is from northern Iowa but has lived in Lincoln since high school. She works full time as an analyst at Allstate Financial and goes to school at UNL, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Zoo Animal Care. She also volunteers for the Capital Humane Society. She has four cats and a dog. Animals are her passion and what guide her life choices. She is a vegetarian and environmentalist because of her love for animals. Her goal of becoming a vet is for the sole purpose of helping and saving animals. She intends to eventually open a sanctuary and volunteer her services to various non-profit animal welfare organizations.

Jen Curtis

Jen Curtis brings 24 years of experience to the team. The Kearney, NE native grew up loving animals and after some encouragement from her parents, she chose her career path and went on to graduate from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. She currently owns a dog named Skye and two kitties, Oliver and Liddy. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son, Kaleb, as well as watching movies and cheering on the Husker football team.

Taylor Heng

Taylor Heng is one of Superior Veterinary Care and Cotner Pet Care’s receptionists. She is a veterinary science major at the University of Nebraska with hopes of attending vet school in the future. The Nebraska City native has always had a love for animals but her family’s farm inspired her to pursue a veterinary career path. She has a spoiled 3 year old black lab named Lola as well as three barn cats. Her spare time is spent running and training for various marathons throughout Nebraska.

Malina Pokorney

Malina Pokorney graduated from Omaha College of Health Careers in 2001 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Animal Health Technology. She has worked in a variety of animal hospitals as a Licensed Veterinary Technician over the years. Malina has 1 husband, 3 children, 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and 5 hermit crabs. Her hobbies include being with her family, reading, relaxing on the couch and shopping.

Nathan Reisinger

Nathan Reisinger is a veterinary technician. He was born and raised in Grand Island, NE. He graduated in 2016 from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE. He’s currently attending UNL to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology.

Luann Thomsen

Luann Thomsen worked in the food industry and bar industry for over 35 years. She thought it was time to do something different and Dr. Otto provided an opportunity to work at the clinic. Luann has been working here over a year and loves it! She has a dog named Abbie. Luann’s hobbies are sewing and spending time with family, especially her two grandsons. She has been with her partner for over 15 years and has 5 daughters between the two of them.

Dawn VanArsdale

Dawn VanArsdale has always been a dog lover. In high school she discovered dog grooming and worked in a salon as a bather. Dawn came back to dog grooming in 2009 where it has been a passion ever since. She enjoys hanging out with family and friends during her free time.

Madison Williams

Madison Williams is currently a student at the University of Nebraska studying veterinary science. She has wanted to be a vet her entire life and currently has a lab/dachshund mix, Jett. In the past, Madison has had dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, turtles, and hermit crabs. In her free time she enjoys baking, watching movies and reading.

Laura Young

Laura Young is from Brazil. She graduated from Federal University of Uberlândia in 2017 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She studied at Concord University in Athens, WV and at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Laura also worked as an intern at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Uberlândia at the small animals clinic and in the operating room. She is working on validating her diploma in the United States. She currently does not have any pets, but she gets to Skype often with Jake (a 2 year old Siberian Husky) and Nina (a 9 year old Shih Tzu) that are in Brazil with her family. She also enjoys spending time with her husband watching movies and cooking.
